We sincerely admire the achievement made by South Australia in its economic and social development. This year marks the 30th anniversary of sister relationship between Shandong and South Australia. Upholding the idea of win-win cooperation, the two sides have made progress on various fronts. We have jointly built the platform of cooperation and development forum, established the meeting mechanism of high level working group, signed the Friendly Cooperation Action Plan, and made positive progress on some cooperation projects and major events. This year is not only the 30th birthday of the sister relationship, but also the year for free trade agreement between China and Australia to come into effect, thus bringing new historic opportunity to deepening the bilateral relationship. Jiang hoped that, the two sides could build on the wisdom and experience accumulated during past three decade of friendly cooperation, speed up the building of a new type of sister relationship under the framework of CAFTA, promote the friendly cooperation between the two sides to broader areas and deeper levels, serve as a model of regional cooperation, and make new achievement in building the sister relationship.
Premier Weatherill said, during 30 years of friendly exchanges between South Australia and Shandong, many ideas have been turned into reality, and now the relationship between the two sides is moving towards further and broader areas, and I brought with me the largest government and business mission in South Australian history. Through in-depth exchanges, the two sides will tap into the cooperation potential in more areas and on deeper level. The cooperation between Shandong and South Australia has entered into an unprecedented time with abundant opportunities. South Australia would love to be the gateway for Shandong to develop in Australia. South Australia will continue to make effort, make full use of opportunities brought by CAFTA, facilitate economic transformation of the two sides, promote two-way trade and technology export, and bring more benefits to the two peoples.
