Gong Zheng Meets Singaporean Ambassador to China

On November 13, Mr. Gongzheng, Deputy Secretary of CPC Shandong Provincial Committee and Governor of Shandong Province, meets with Mr. Loh Ka Leung, Singaporean Ambassador to China.

Mr. Gong Zheng expressed welcome to Mr. Loh and introduced to him Shandong's economic and social development. He said that Shandong and Singapore has made great achievements in pragmatic cooperation under the framework of Singapore-Shandong Business Commission. Currently, Shandong is implementing the spirit of the 19th National Congress of CPC and the shift of economic growth driver, offering excellent conditions for mutual-benefit cooperation and deepening friendship. He expressed the hope for both sides to enhance governmental exchanges and promote economic and trade cooperation. He also encouraged companies from both sides to join hands and explore new opportunities in countries along the Belt and Road.

Mr. Loh Ka Leung said that Singapore and Shandong has broad space for cooperation and agreed with Mr. Gong Zheng in promoting cooperation under the framework of Belt and Road Initiative, hoping that through project-based exchanges of infrastructure and capital as well as new platform of trilateral cooperation, deepen cooperation in finance, medicine, education and logistics to push the bilateral cooperation to higher level.

Ms. Ren Airong, Vice Governor of Shandong Province, Mr. Wang Hua, Secretary-General of People’s Government of Shandong Province, Mr. She Chunming, Director –General of Department of Commerce and Ms. Li Rong, Counsel of Shandong Foreign Affairs attended the meeting.
