In the afternoon of November 22, Vice Governor Yu Guo'an met with Hon. Martin Hamilton-Smith, South Australian Minister for Investment and Trade, and members of the 2nd Shandong Connect Programme in Jinan.
Since Shandong and South Australia established sister province/state relationship, the two sides have made remarkable achievements in such areas as economy and trade, culture, education, health care and environmental protection, said Yu Guo’an. He hoped that the two sides could further align their development strategies, deepen exchanges and cooperation, facilitate project implementation, and bring more benefits to the two peoples.
Minister Hamilton-Smith said that Shandong is an important cooperation partner of South Australia. The two sides have established a sound long-term partnership which will be further expanded and enhanced in the future.
Mr. Zhang Jijun, Deputy Secretary-General of the provincial government, and officials from Shandong Disabled Persons’ Federation, Shandong Provincial Paired-up Assistance Office, Shandong Provincial Department of Commerce, Shandong Provincial Department of Culture, Shandong Provincial Department of Environmental Protection and Shandong Provincial Foreign Affairs Office joined the meeting.
