On April 11, Vice Governor Ren Airong met with H.E. Eoin O'Leary, Ambassador of Ireland to China, in Jinan.
Ren Airong expressed welcome to the Ambassador, and introduced to him Shandong’s economic and social development, and the Major Program of Growth Drivers Shift. She hoped that the two sides can step up concrete cooperation in such areas as talent exchanges, rural revitalizationeducation and tourism.
Ambassador O'Leary said that Ireland highly values its cooperation with Shandong. Since now the cooperation between the two sides has achieved some results, he would love to further facilitate cooperation in high technology, education, agriculture, fishing and tourism.
Wei Huaxiang, Deputy Secretary-General of the provincial government, and officials of Shandong Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs Office, Shandong Provincial Department of Science and Technology, Shandong Provincial Department of Commerce, and Shandong Provincial Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs also attended the event.
